Australia Tour 2005 - November - Melbourne - Sydney - Hunter Valley
Rain....Rain...more Rain ..but we were there and waited for Miss Ross....memories are coming back, it was like Central Park
Hunter Valley Concert Cancelled minutes before the Show were scheduled to start!
to be honest it seemed like this Concert was a foreseen fiasco, the stage had no roof which was long enough to cover the Sound System, the stage and all the Equipment which was already setup for the Concert . The powercable were laid out in the wet grass ....
Miss Ross ! It’s alright we getting wet , that’s ok ....we are here for you ...
were you afraid of the Rain .... we won’t melt for you .... We never danced and sung in the Rain before ......(remember Central Park)
The next day we went to Hunter Valley in the Vineyards. We had very bad weather conditions and asked if the show is cancelled .
Answer : NO !!!
So we had dinner at first. 2 hours later we were told that the show is cancelled right now, because of the healthyness of the people…. Really funny, because a lot of the crowd sat almost for 2 hours in the heavy rain !!!
The picture you are seen are NOT from the Concert Night ..they were taken anytime before .(might be ages ago ) , this is just to give you an idea what it looked like. We had about 50% of these chairs that Night . Not sure how many visitors were there at all .....
Later we were told, that an inspector said it was too dangerous. The stage was wet and slippery and the whole equipment was wet… We were all very disappointet but also understood of the the decission which was made that night to secure Miss Ross healthyness, well even we have lost lots of money, but not to think about what happend if Miss Ross have felt from the Stage......
For us, it was a hard trip coming from Germany to Australia to see Miss Ross in concert. We were prepared for that Concert , we had Rain Ponchos, shower caps we were just looking great ..have a look on the Picture this one was taken after the canellation announcement in our Villa at the Crown Plaza Hotel ,we had a lil after cancellation Show Party ( LOL )
But it was worthwhile and we are looking forward to see her again, wherever it will be…..
